"Policy Driven Financial Markets"
Speaker: Nick Raich, CFA®, CEO and
Founder, The Earnings Scout
Nick Raich of The Earnings Scout has accurately forecasted the direction of corporate earnings, one of the most important factors for stock prices, consistently over the past two decades. In September 2015, he warned to the Wealth Management Society of Northwest Ohio in his "Investment Opportunities as Global Growth Slows" presentation that global growth expectations were set to slow faster than most realized. Soon after, stocks sold off significantly. In March 2016, his firm's rigorous measurement and analysis of earnings estimate revision trends determined that the worst of the downward estimate cuts were over, and the Earnings Scout upgraded stocks.
As such, The Earnings Scout recommendations have allowed its institutional investors to make rational decisions and outperform consistently in both up and down markets. Raich will be back on September 14, 2016 to once again provide his firm's view on the economy and what to expect in 2017. He will show how policy makers have been pulling the strings with regards to global macroeconomic expectations and also provide the empirical evidence that they are not yet out of ammunition, as many naysayers have suggested.
Nick Raich is the CEO and Founder of The Earnings Scout, an independent macroeconomic research firm that specializes in earnings trends. He is widely recognized as a leading expert on U.S. corporate profits and makes
frequent appearances on CNBC, Bloomberg TV, as well as in in national and regional print media, including The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times and The New York Times.
Prior to founding The Earnings Scout, Raich had 15 years of an experience as a Director of Research successfully leading teams of investment professionals that consistently outperformed at Key Private Bank, National
City and Zacks Investment Research in Chicago. Raich has a BS in Finance and an MBA from Youngstown State University. He is a member of the Forbes Investment Panel, a member of the Lariccia School of Accounting and Finance
Advisory Council at Youngstown State and is a Chartered Financial Analyst®.
