CRYPTOCURRENCY PANEL DISCUSSION
Panel Participants:
Jim Brumbaugh
Jim is the General Partner at Bolt Crypto LP which is a crypto hedge fund that focuses on bitcoin. He’s been trading digital assets and digital asset derivatives for over 5 years. Prior to trading digital assets, he managed his personal and family’s investments using traditional long/short strategies.
Jim is also currently a Market Development Manager at US Silica focusing on new business initiatives. Prior to US Silica, Jim spent 8 years at Owens Corning in marketing, strategy, and finance roles. He is a graduate from the University of Toledo and holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance.
Jim will be discussing how he analyzes the crypto landscape, where he sees it going and how people can get started in crypto and invest safely.
Peyton Cooper
Peyton Cooper is a Market Consultant for Grayscale Investments covering all channels throughout the Ohio Valley region. Prior to Grayscale, Peyton worked at Global X in the ETF's division. Peyton graduated from the University of Findlay with a major in finance.
Michael Zhao
Michael Zhao is a researcher at Grayscale focusing on both market and onchain data for bitcoin, eth, and other digital assets. Prior to crypto, Michael worked in real estate and private equity. Michael graduated from Georgetown University with majors in accounting and finance.
Grayscale will give an overview of the crypto landscape through a sector lens. Grayscale views the crypto landscape from five sectors including Currencies, Smart Contract Platforms, Financials, Consumer and Culture, and Utilities and Services. We know these crypto sectors/ecosystems will continue to evolve over time, so this systematization of the crypto landscape into sectors is designed to provide investors a framework to understand and monitor the evolution of each sector over time and relative to individual crypto and equity assets.
