Our panel will discuss what they are seeing from and/or recommending to clients with respect to estate planning given the changes in the estate tax laws, especially the increase in the federal applicable exclusion amount (currently $5,450,000 per person & $10,900,000 for a husband and wife if a certain elections are made)
Scott Janson is a senior partner specializing in estate planning, business succession planning, asset protection planning, mergers and acquisitions, business franchising, and tax litigation. Scott’s individual clients range from high net worth individuals with complex estate planning and tax objectives to same-sex couples with unique and sensitive planning and familial issues.
Garrick White is a partner, practicing in the areas of estate and trust administration, guardianships, adoptions, civil litigation, real estate transactions, construction claims and contracts, railroad litigation, product liability claims, corporate transactions and contracts, and complex litigation including class actions.
Charles D. Rittenhouse is an associate, specializing in estate planning, taxation, trust, probate and litigation.
Kevin Henry concentrates his practice in the areas of corporate law and estate planning. Kevin has assisted clients in an array of corporate matters, including stock and asset purchases and sales, commercial lease negotiations, business succession plans and corporate formations. Additionally, he has worked to grow his estate planning practice and has assisted clients with drafting wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
